After a year of research we wanted to make sure we had the very best alternative base available. We use a reed diffuser base that is derived from natural renewable resources, not from synthetic production which relies on fossil fuels. It is made from organic and food sources, generally corn and sugarcane, much cleaner and ‘greener’. Made from 95 % Bio Ethanol alcohol denatured. Our base had Denatonium Benzoate 5ppm as the additive to make it bitter and unpalatable for human consumption.

Our body & hair products and oils are made from responsibly sourced wild harvested, certified organic or organic plant derived oils and materials. Our oils are harvested in a sound ethically in a sustainable manner without the use of chemicals.

Our sourcing of all our ingredients and packaging starts in Australia. There are very few items that cannot be purchased from Australia, but we choose to purchase from Australia so it has Australian standards and we keep Australians in jobs. We always source locally from products that are as environmentlly friendly as possible. We use glass where the alternative plastic is not recyclable.

Our product are tested on our family and in our home.

Safety and usage recommendations and guidelines:

  • Treat all Candles with respect, it is a flame and burns.
  • Trim the wick to 5mm before burning your candle every time you light the wick. If your jar is going black it is because the wick is too long, which also makes the flame too large. Trimming also ensures your candle will have a clean burn. Only trim the wick when hardened. Wick trimmers prevent discarded pieces falling into the wax.
  • Keep the candle clean. That is, don’t allow pieces of burnt wick etc, to accumulate in the wax. Replacing the lid when not in use will stop dust settling on your candle.
  • Always place the candle on a level surface to ensure an even melt pool.
  • Soy candles have a memory. To get the most out of your candle the first time, it is recommended to burn the candle long enough to melt the wax to the edge of the candle. For our 300ml large candles we recommend  2-3 hours, or at the very least till the wax melt across the whole diameter of the candle. If you stop your first burn too early you’ll risk tunnelling on all future burns which means the candle will start to burn downwards and will struggle to burn evenly to the edges. Allow the candle to fully cool and set before relighting.
  • You will get the best burn time if the candle is used for 2-3 hours at a time.
  • NEVER extinguish the candle with water. Burning wax is like grease, the safest way to extinguish is with a snuffer. No oxygen = no burning candle.
  • Do not extinguish the candle with the lid if it is cork or wood.
  • Candle should be extinguished with approx. 2mm of wax left in the jar. If the wax has evaporated the metal wick tab my cause the jar to overheat.
  • Candle should be placed on a fire resistant surface.
  • Keep the candle out of wind or drafts to prevent smoking or soot. Even a light breeze can effect the burn. If you notice black around the rim of the jar from soot it can be wiped clean with a cloth or tissue.
  • Store candles in a cool (not cold) dry place out of direct sunlight.
  • Candle should never be left unattended or placed next to flammable objects when lit.
  • Keep out of reach of children and animals.
